When was the last time you put your prices up

When was the last time you put your prices up?

It’s an icky question, but it’s one you need to address –

When was the last time you put your prices up?

If you are scratching your head trying to recall, we need to talk about your value.

As an allied health professional, you provide a vital service to the community, but if you burn-out or lose motivation to grow and develop midway through your career that is an essential resource the community loses; And what’s the quickest way to lose motivation? Feeling undervalued.

It may surprise you to hear that more often than not, the person who undervalues your services the most is: you.

What is your true value?

Ask yourself these hard questions:

  • What do your patients think your services are worth? Have you ever done any research to find this out?
  • What is the socio-economic background of your individual patients? Do you just assume patients can’t afford your services, and cater your fee structure to what you think will please everybody?
  • Are you still focussing your energy trying to attract government funded patients with the belief that this will offer a steady stream of work? Do you realise that higher paying private clients that actively seek out your services do so as they value your experience and are willing to pay for your expertise?

It’s an uncomfortable topic, but it is an area you need to have a firm handle on if you want to avoid total burnout.  You’d be surprised how many clients struggle on the conversation of pricing and beliefs around money.

Are you building connections?

If you aren’t building a connection with your clients, you may be missing out on patients that truly value your services.

As a professional services business coach, I will help you take stock and look at your profession from a fresh perspective and help you answer the question: is this where I thought I’d be?

Together, we can assess your true value and create a path to the career you always imagined. I will guide you through the steps along the way, and as your coach, I can provide the skills you may not have, to re-adjust your career direction.

In my workshop, Finding Your Purpose, we will work together to understand the value of your experience and recalibrate your focus. Once we establish where change needs to happen, my role as your business coach will be to guide you step-by-step to reach your professional and personal goals.
